BIOINSTALLATION: PROSTHESIS is a series of wall-mounted and vitrine-displayed sculptural
implants fabricated from plastic and metal. Ranging in scale, the works resemble extracted
organs, decorative mutations, or unfinished medical devices. Hooks, clamps, and surgical
fastenings suggest attachment points, while translucent and fleshy surfaces mimic tissue
without ever fully becoming it. Each prosthesis appears simultaneously ornamental and
dysfunctional—too specific to be abstract, too artificial to be alive.
Presented collectively, the series adopts the visual language of a pseudo-medical
showroom, where bodily deficiency is treated as an aesthetic problem awaiting correction.
Enhancement replaces healing; excess substitutes for function. The implants promise
transformation yet reveal only surface modification—objects designed to be worn,
displayed, or desired rather than to restore. In this speculative bio-economy, ugliness is
marketed as value, uselessness as distinction, and the body becomes a modular site for
endless intervention, branding vulnerability as upgrade.
